In the heart of the Val Graziosa, in the village of Calci, an old Tuscan farmhouse is set in a lush garden of aromatic plants and fruit trees. Here, you are welcomed by a snack of homemade local products: jams and marmalades, organic extra virgin olive oil, cured meats and other specialities. After the snack, you move into the “Coppaio”, a room used for the storage of extra virgin olive oil. The name comes from ‘coppe’, large terracotta recipients or jars where the olive oil was traditionally stored. Here, the owner help you discover local memories by explaining the olive oil production in the valley along the Monti Pisani Olive Oil Road.
