Description
The guided excursion begins in Calci, at the Romanesque parish church of the Santi Giovanni ed Ermolao and continues uphill through olive groves and Mediterranean scrub, cork trees and dry-stone walls, with a diversion to Par di Rota. Here, you enjoy a breathtaking view over Val Graziosa, once land of defence of the Republic of Pisa and known as “Valley of the Hundred Mills”, some of them still visible. The route proceeds with a gentle descent to Via Ruschi which is an opportunity to discover the unspoilt natural beauty of this part of Tuscany. A trekking experience for everyone that combines history, landscapes and tranquillity.
